I have an acquaintance that grew up in a pretty rough place with major instability and most likely neglect and abuse on a consistent basis. I believe she was bounced around form home to home and never had stable or consistent parental figures. Living in poverty, inner city chaos, food stamps, living off the system and using all forms of public assistance was the norm. Learning how to manipulate the system was mandatory for survival. Consequently, she was exposed to the tortures and the brainwashing that come with this type of environment and coming to age in this system that promotes dependance, obedience, robs self-determination and forces blame onto others and instills the almost irreversible mindset that because of your upbringing, you CANNOT succeed. And worse, that some/any leader or public figure 'forces' people to act/behave a certain way (robbing of free will and self-determination).
The little troll that rules North Korea does, in no way, impact the way I behave, treat other people, etc. That little circus troll is just that, a circus troll. He doesn't determine whether I protest in the streets, burn down a neighborhood or inflict bodily harm on someone. He is mostly an irrelevant piece of sh*t that is only relevant to my life in that he is a horrible human, a tyrant, and is killing and exploiting his own people. That is how he is relevant. But he doesn't influence my behavior in any negative way. In fact, if anything, he should make all of us treat each other better, to be thankful for living in this nation.
Anyway, back to the conversation with this lady. She was lamenting her thoughts as to how Trump is the one that is causing the uproar, protests and deadly violence taking place in a certain West African nation. While tragic and unfortunate, she seems to not understand a few things, well, a lot actually. First: that violence and mayhem has been occurring in these nations LONG before Trump was even a factor in American politics. Its almost a way of life, unfortunately, for many of these nations. Second: her comments are basically saying that the people of this nation are reactive, stupid, spineless drones that are incapable of independent thought, self-determination and don't possess the ability to make decisions on their own. As in, they are sheep and do not know the difference between right and wrong and that Trump makes them this way. I don't get offended easily, but this pushed me to the edge of just rolling my eyes again at ignorance and being offended.
The left has brainwashed certain populations in this country to believe that they have no free will, no ability to self determine and zero ability to think on your own. Now she's extending this brainwashed mindset onto a culture and community that she doesn't understand or belong to. Its pure ignorance and its sad. To think that the people in this particular West African nation are controlled so much by an American president that they literally cannot think for themselves. I passed this story along to a few of my close friends who live in this particular West African nation...they were not impressed. In fact, they had some harsh things to say about this lady's thoughts and comments. These people are some of the hardest working, most self-sufficient people that I have ever met. They are resourceful and they rarely complain...unlike certain groups here in America. These West African people are fully capable of free thought, free will and know the difference between right and wrong.
And they sure as hell don't need some brainwashed American lefty projecting their own victimhood onto these beautiful people. The business of victimhood is an American industry and its spreading around the world. It is a cancer that will destroy some of these beautiful cultures and people.
Sadly, we have the money to somewhat support victimhood here in America. The left has all sorts of free money and programs to give support, for life, to professional victims. Its an industry of it own. And by 'free money', yes, I'm referring to our money...the government doesn't have anything. If they do, its because it belongs to the people. I wanted to make that clear.
But most of these developing nations do not have the money or infrastructure to support victimhood. So if these cry baby American lefties continue to spread the business of victimhood, they are ultimately making the lives of the people in these struggling nations much worse. Its either pure ignorance, or pure evil. Maybe an amalgam of both.
